Exlink automatically manages the types for your program participants.
Leads - These are individuals who have been manually created or received via interest forms. They do not have access to the system. The goal is to recruit and nurture them in order to send them an application for the program.
Applicants - These are individuals who are expected to complete an application and submit it for review. They may be accepted or rejected. They may also decide to abandon their application.
Prospects - These are individuals who meet the program requirements and have been accepted and enrolled in the program of their choice.
Participants - These are individuals who have arrived at their destination and are attending their program. They may complete their program or end it prematurely due to withdrawal, termination, or dismissal.
The system automatically converts Leads into Applicants when the application is sent to them for the first time. Similarly, if an Applicant's application is Approved or Conditionally Approved at the final step of the admissions process, they are automatically converted into Prospects. Finally, based on travel dates, Prospects are automatically switched to Participants on the day of their arrival for the program.
